CT Lottery Player Starts Off 2024 With $1 Million Powerball Win

MONROE, CT — It was certainly a happy new year for one CT Lottery player who scored a $1 million Powerball payout.

The ticket was purchased for the Jan. 1 drawing from the Camero Mini Mart in Monroe. The player had not yet come forward to cash in the prize by Tuesday afternoon, CT Lottery officials said.

"This is one way to start off 2024 feeling like a million bucks," CT Lottery officials quipped about the New Year's Day drawing. "Congrats to the lucky Powerball player who won $1,000,000 in last night’s drawing."
