Drunk Monroe Man Found Sleeping in Car With Ice Cream: Cops
Police said they also found two empty bags of heroin in the car.

A Monroe man is facing a DUI charge after police say he was found asleep at the wheel with a container of ice cream on his lap Sunday night,
Police responded to the report of a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Elm Street and Route 111 with a man sleeping at the wheel around 11:20 p.m. Police found Matthew Rotondo, 23, sleeping in the driver’s seat with the engine running, the headlights on and a container of ice cream on his lap.
Officers woke up Rotondo who was confused and slurred his speech, police said. Investigation showed that Rotondo had consumed prescription medications, police said. Two empty heroin bags were also found inside his car.

Rotondo was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Rotondo also submitted a urine sample for later testing.
He was given a $500 bond and a court date of Dec. 16.
