Employee Stole Over $40k in Tools From Monroe Business: Police
Breaking: Police say the tools were stolen incrementally overtime.

MONROE, CT — A Bridgeport man is facing a larceny charge after police say he stole over $40,000 in tools from his employer over a period of time, according to Monroe Police.
Michael Conway, 37, was arrested Friday following an investigation which began in December after a local business owner filed a larceny complaint with Monroe Police over the stolen tools. The name of the business where Conway was employed was not immediately released by police.

Police later found that an employee had stolen the tools incrementally over time, and were able to identify Conway as the employee.
Conway was charged by a warrant with larceny in the first degree and held by Monroe Police on a $20,000 bond pending arraignment Monday.

The accused did not enter a plea Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court and was held on a court-set bond of $10,000. He is due back in court on April 10.
