the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library offers a 4-week meditation and relaxation program on Tuesday evenings: July 31, August, 21 and 28 in the Ehlers Room. Nadine Richardson, RYT, shares techniques that can bring about a sense of calm, peace and balance, reduce stress and benefit both your emotional well being and your overall health. Anyone can practice meditation. It’s simple, inexpensive, and it doesn’t require any special equipment. And once you’ve learned some techniques, you can practice meditation wherever you are. Dress comfortably. Bring a cushion, blanket or mat, if you wish. Comfortable chairs will also be available. Effective immediately with this session, the workshop is on a First-come, first serve basis. Once attendance has reached 20, the door will close and late-comers will not be admitted. No exceptions! For information please call the Adult Services Desk at 203-452-2850 x 6.
