The Apple Festival of will return to Monroe's historic town green Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11 and 12, with apples, crafters and much more. The annual event will keep all family members entertained from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11-4 Sunday.
Festivities include:
- 70 crafters from several states
- Over 800 baked pies, tarts, cookies, cupcakes and other baked goods
- Children's games including two moon bounces, face painting and prizes
- Caramel apples, fresh apples and apple cider for sale
- A sale of hardy mums and asters in fall colors
- Snack bar with hot and cold beverages and a wide variety of foods, all cooked to order
The fair will culminate Sunday with the raffle.
