Eversource to Conduct Work in Monroe

Crews will be using ATVs and pickup trucks to access lines on streets. Helicopters will also be in use during the coming days.

MONROE, CT — Over next three weeks, Eversource will be working on transmission lines in Monroe and Sandy Hook.

The work is focused in the area of the Stevenson Dam, including Jordan Hill Road and Bradley Lane. The announcement noted that the work is only maintenance work and does not include tree trimming.

Crews will use ATV's and/or pickup trucks to access the transmission line structures through the right of way, according to the announcement.

Starting on March 23 through March 24, and March 27 through March 31, the utility company will be conducting aerial patrols of transmission lines. The work is set for between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
