Fireworks & Food Trucks To Close Out Monroe Bicentennial Festivities
Monroe will celebrate the close of the town's Bicentennial Celebration with live music and food trucks at Wolfe Park on Friday.
MONROE, CT — Residents of Monroe will celebrate the close of the town's Bicentennial Celebration with live music and food trucks at Wolfe Park, leading up to a fireworks display Friday night.

4:30 p.m.:

Shuttles begin departing Masuk High School for Wolfe Park. Parking at the park will be limited to only those with handicapped placards. Shuttles will depart every fifteen minutes to allow residents and their guests plenty of time to arrive at the park grounds. Guests should plan on bringing their own chairs.
Local traffic plan is put in place. Cutler’s Farm Road will be restricted to one lane travel only between Purdy Hill Road and Bug Hill Road. More details available online here. Drop-offs will be permitted at Wolfe Park, but those dropping off must depart southbound on Cutler’s Farm Road only from Wolfe Park.

This traffic plan will remain in place until the last shuttle bus departs Wolfe Park at the conclusion of the event.
5 p.m.:
Food trucks arrive at Wolfe Park. Offerings will include: Donut Crazy, Fryborg, Jim’s Ice Cream Truck, Fiesta Taco Truck (Vazzy’s/Monroe) DrewBaQ, Planet Pizza Mobile Truck. Guests may also bring their own food and beverages to the event. Portapotties will be available as well as the bathrooms at the pool house.
Monroe’s Bicentennial Store opens with souvenir items as well as ice-cold water and non-alcoholic beverages for sale.
7 p.m.:
Concert featuring Beatles tribute band Ticket to Ride begins on Wolfe Park stage.
8:45 p.m./dusk:
Fireworks display begins.
