Former Monroe Resident Stole Nearly $2,000 in Tools From His Old House: Police
Police say the man was tied to the burglaries through pawn shop records.

MONROE, CT — A Stratford man was arrested recently burglary charges for allegedly stealing nearly $2,000 in tools from a garage in Monroe, according to police
Former Monroe resident Gregory Zimnoch, 36, is accused of stealing the tools valued at $1,895.01 from the garage of his old home. After a resident reported two separate burglaries to his garage in December, police were able to tie Zimnoch to the burglaries through pawn shop records.
Pawn shop records on Dec. 27 and 30 showed that he tried to pawn various tools. In both robberies, police say he made entry through a side door.

He was charged with two counts of third degree burglary, fourth degree larceny and fifth degree larceny. He was held in court for arraignment on $5,000 bond.
