Firefighters remained at the scene for about an hour as they worked to extinguish the blaze. Steep snow and icy conditions made fighting the fire difficult, as they had to stretch hoses to reach the flames.
The fire was the second overnight incident in Monroe this week. On Tuesday, firefighters responded to a truck fire around 2:40 a.m. that was extinguished before it could spread to a nearby structure.
