Here’s Why Kaiden Was Shouted Out As A Monroe Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Monroe.
MONROE, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Cassandra Guy who nominated her granddaughter, 6th grader Kaiden of Monroe.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Kaiden has had high honors the past 2 semesters for her first year in Middle school. She is a 2nd degree Black belt in Taekwondo. Kaiden has been training for the past 6 years. She assists her master a couple of times a week in teaching the younger children for class. She also helps him with all the birthday parties. She sings on Sundays with the junior choir at St. Stephen's church in Trumbull for the past 3 years. Kaiden also sings with the Fairfield County Children's Choir. This past May, she had a solo skag at Carnegie Hall. She is kind and very complimentary to others. She always sees the best in people and is very mature, way beyond her years. She will be the first to help, if help is needed. She has been dancing hip-hop for the past 3 years at Monroe Dance Academy. This past year, she has added lacrosse for the Town of Monroe to her busy schedule. She comes home every day and gets her homework done before anything else. Kaiden is on her 2nd year of playing violin with her school, which she loves very much. Kaiden attends training with Spodnick K9 on Sunday afternoons, with weekly training sessions with her German Shepherd puppy. Along with all of this, she is a child actor, and does auditions and voice overs weekly. She has done many public service announcements and filmed for Season 2 of Child Support in 2017. Kaiden was "2017 Tiny Miss Connecticut" in the East Coast USA pageant.
