Hot Rod Car Enthusiast, History Buff Steven Axtell, 59, Died Suddenly
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home.

MONROE, CT — Steven G. Axtell, age 59, beloved husband of Laurie Wolfe Axtell of Monroe, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Milford Hospital.
Born in Mt. Kisco, New York on March 14, 1957, he was a son of the late Robert G. and Barbara Shoup Axtell. Steve was an Aerospace Engineer at Air-lock Inc. of Milford since 1999. He had a passion for Hot Rod Cars and attended many car shows. He was also a history buff, an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and going to Martha's Vineyard but above all he enjoyed coaching baseball and softball for his children.
Survivors include his loving wife, Laurie of 32 years, two loving children, Andrew and Taylor both of Monroe, a sister, Lucy Axtell Porter and her husband John of Atlanta, GA, his mother-in-law, Arlene Wolfe of Westport and a brother-in-law, Brian Wolfe and his wife Pia Meyers of FL as well as nieces and nephews, Alex and Allegra Porter and Jaik Wolfe.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
