Hundreds Still Without Power in Area

The storms that swept through the area Thursday have left many residents without power.

MONROE, CT — Thursday's windy weather took a toll on towns in southwestern Connecticut.

The storms and high winds that hit the area yesterday and last night have moved on, but hundreds have been left without power in their wake. As of 9:00 a.m., Eversource was reporting 190 outages in Monroe, 120 in Ridgefield, 75 in New Milford, 19 in Wilton, 53 in Newtown, 12 in Danbury and 52 in Redding.
