Jack Sheehan​ Named 'Firefighter Of The Year' In Monroe

MONROE, CT — The Monroe Volunteer Fire Department has presented Jack Sheehan with its annual Ryan S. Gardner Firefighter of the Year Award.

Sheehan joined the MVFD as an emergency medical technician and quickly achieved his Firefighter I and II certifications. According to a social media post, Sheehan is a top 10 responder to fire calls, an active participant in the department's duty crew and staffing programs, and oversees the care and maintenance of the firefighters' air packs and meters.
