Local Historian to Lead Bike Tour of Rail Trail
Points of interest include an amusement park, a fountain pool and the grave of a witch.

MONROE, CT — A local historian will lead a bike tour along the rail trail leading into Monroe on Sunday.
Sue DelBianco, author of "Rails to Trails: A Journey Back in Time," will host a fall historical bike tour from the Pequonnock Valley Rail Trail to Monroe on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. Cyclists will meet at the Tait Road Commuter Parking lot in Trumbull right off of Church Hill Road. The author will stop at many historical points-of-interest along the rail trail, including an old cow tunnel, remains of a knit mill, an ice house, a knit mill, a paper mill, a mining company, an amusement park, a fountain pool, and the grave of Hannah Crannah, reputed to have been a witch.
Admission is free.
