Man Drove Away From Scene of Crash in Monroe, Said He Needs to See Girlfriend: Cops
The man was eventually taken into custody by Trumbull Police for evading responsibility in another crash.

A Shelton man was arrested after police say he struck the rear of a car and subsequently drove away from the scene in Monroe.
According to police, Frank Lupariello, 22 was traveling West on Elm Street on April 21 following a 2010 Cadillac. The operator of the Cadillac slowed at the intersection of Purdy Hill Road and Lupariello failed to stop, striking the rear of the Cadillac.
He stopped at the scene and spoke with the female operator and after saying he needed to see his girlfriend drove away from the scene, police said.

After notifying surrounding departments of the incident, Trumbull Police reported that they had just taken Lupariello into custody for evading responsibility for walking away from a one car crash just over the Monroe border in Trumbull.
The female operator of the Cadillac identified Lupariello’s vehicle as being the one that struck her and Lupariello later admitted to being the operator that was involved in the Monroe crash, police said.

After posting bond for the Trumbull incident, Lupariello was placed under arrest by Monroe Police and charged with evading responsibility and following too close.
He was given a $500 bond and a court date of April 28.
