Man Accused of Domestic Violence in Monroe Arrested: UPDATE
The man is also facing charged in Newtown for a home invasion.

MONROE, CT--Police have arrested a Newtown man in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred in Monroe early Sunday morning.
According to police, a Kettle Creek Lane resident called Monroe police just before 1 a.m. after she heard loud screaming outside her home. The resident found a woman in front of her home calling for help whom she took inside, police said.
Police said the woman was a victim of domestic violence. She told police that she and her boyfriend had left a party in Shelton and while they were going to his home in Newtown, she realized he was intoxicated. Police said the man, identified as 27-year-old Michael Dziubina, made a wrong turn on Kettle Creek Lane when the victim told him to stop the car so she could get out.

Dziubina allegedly became angry, walked around the car and pulled the victim from out of the car by her neck and threw her to the ground. Police said he then sped off.
Dziubina was later arrested by the Newtown Police Department for a home invasion. Monroe Police have arrested Dziubina and charged him with first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault.

He was taken into custody at his parent’s home in Shelton. Dziubina was given a $75,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 8.
