Masuk High School Ice Hockey To Hold Clothing Drive/Fundraiser

Masuk High School Ice Hockey in Monroe is holding a combined clothing drive/fundraiser on Dec. 2-3.

MONROE, CT — Masuk High School Ice Hockey is holding an unusual fundraiser.

This weekend, the Panthers are holding a clothing drive. The textiles will be turned over to Helpsy, a clothing collection company and a certified B Corporation with an environmental goal to extend the useful life of clothing. Helpsy in turn will make a donation to the team.

In 2022, Helpsy paid over $500,000 to charities for collection partnerships, saved municipalities over $1.5 million in disposal fees and donated over 28,000 coats to those in need, according to the group's website. Helpsy partners with municipalities and organizations across 14 states to collect unwanted clothing while giving back to the communities they serve.
