Monroe 2015 Election: Candidates, Polling Places, Sample Ballot
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and we share with you some of the information you'll need to know.

The municipal election in Monroe is Tuesday, Nov. 3 where Monroevians have some important decisions to make.
On the ballot for First Selectman, Incumbent Republican Steve Vavrek is up against Democrat Dan Hunsberger.

For Town Council, voters will choose any nine candidates. They are Democrats Nick Kapoor, Phyllis Kamsky and Dee Dee Martin while the Republican candidates are Francis Lieto, Enid Lipeles, Kenneth Kellogg, Terry Rooney, Kevin Reid and Sean O’ Rourke.

The candidate for Town Clerk is Republican Vida V. Stone. For Town Treasurer, the candidate is Republican Deborah Heim. Finally, the candidate for Tax Collector is Republican Emanuel Cambra Jr.
For the Board of Finance, the candidates are Democrat Ted Quinlan and Republicans Carl Ferraro, Christine Rigby and Debra Dutches. For the Board of Education, the candidates are Democrats Lee Reynolds Crouch and Alan Vaglivelo, Republicans Jeffrey Guttman and Shannon Reilly Monaco and petitioning candidate Jennifer A Aguilar. Voters will choose any four candidates for both boards. To fill a vacancy for one year on the Board of Education, the race is between Democrat Jerry Stevens and Republican Norman Rancourt.

For the Planning and Zoning Commission, the three candidates are Democrat Leon Ambrosey and Republicans Jeremy Hayden and Dave Townson. Voters will also vote for three alternates among Democrats John Epilano and Cathleen Lindstrom and Republicans Paul Lisi and Michael O’ Reilly.
Finally, for constable the candidates are Democrat Pat Tomchik and Republican Victor Yanosy.

District One: Fawn Hollow School
District Two: Stepney Elementary School
District Three: Monroe Elementary School
District Four: Masuk High School
