Monroe 5K Trail Run Set For October

Last year the race raised $14K and all proceeds went towards assisting with heating assistance for Monroe residents with Project Warmth.

From The City of Monroe: The Monroe 5k Trail Run, in conjunction with title sponsor Edgerton, Inc., will take place on October 1st at Great Hollow Lake. Last year the race raised over $14,000. As always, the money is used towards funding Project Warmth, a fund dedicated to providing heating assistance to Monroe families.

This is the sixth year the group has held this fundraiser. The race committee is comprised of Cara Logan, Beth Gillen, Brandi Pierson, Jen Aguilar, Kerri Swift, Matt and Amy Briand, and Alyssa Scalia. We would like to thank all the race sponsors, race participants and volunteers that make this day a successful event year after year. We look forward to seeing everyone at the lake on October 1st. After the race, there will be music, snacks, amazing raffles and beer!

Please consider joining us for a fun morning while supporting a great cause. If you have any questions please contact Alyssa Scalia at 203-260-1402 or register today at www.hitekracing.com/monroetrailrun.
