Monroe $96.7 Million Budget Goes Before Voters Tuesday
The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
MONROE, CT — Residents will vote Tuesday on the proposed $96.7 million town budget.
The spending plan represents a 1.38 percent increase in taxes for the fiscal 2022-23 year.
The proposal breaks down to $31.7 million in municipal spending, or a 0.57 percent increase over the current budget. Spending for the schools would increase by 4.75 percent, to $64.5 million.

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. District 1 residents vote at Fawn Hollow Elementary School, 345 Fan Hill Road; District 2, at Stepney Elementary School, 180 Old Newtown Road; District 3, Monroe Elementary School, 375 Monroe Turnpike; and District 4, Masuk High School at 1014 Monroe Turnpike.
