Monroe BOE In $1.4 Million Deficit

Board members have until the middle of the year to figure out how to close the gap.

MONROE, CT — Board of Education members are working to close out an estimated $1.4 millionbudget deficit in the current fiscal year.

The school system's special education budget is in the red by $300,000 and the medical deficit is $685,000, according to the Monroe Sun.

A suggestion was made to ask the town for financial help.
