Monroe Candidate Profile: Enid Lipeles For Town Council

MONROE, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Monroe and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office. First Selectman Ken Kellogg will face no challenger, but the races for town council and other offices are contested.

Monroe Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Enid Lipeles is running for re-election to the Monroe Town Council as a Republican. She was a longtime chemistry as Masuk High and served as chair of the Town Council for 12 years and vice chair for six years. She has also served on multiple other boards in town.

I was elected and re-elected to the town council for a total of 18 years.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I was selected as the Monroe Outstanding citizen of the Year in 2013 and also Teacher of the Year in 1991.
