Monroe Chicken Lovers, Get Your Tents Ready for Chick-fil-A's Free Food Campout Wednesday!

Chick-fil-A will open to the first 100 visitors beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 5:45 a.m. for a chance to win free food for a year.

Brookfield residents and chicken lovers from near and far are getting very excited about Brookfield Chick-fil-A’s opening and “First 100” free giveaway. Connecticut’s first Chick-fil-A restaurant will host the event on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Owner Devon Scanlon, a Brookfield native, explained that for the “First 100” celebration, the Chick-fil-A parking lot will open to the first 100 visitors beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 5:45 a.m. Attendees will then camp out in the parking lot overnight to be first in line to win free food for a year. Guests will set up tents, computers, gaming systems and other gear to pass the time while camping out.

Guests must bring their I.D. to show proof of address to be eligible to enter. Participants and alternates are limited to five per party. Once a party has been entered, they can not leave the parking lot.

Scanlon will award the first 100 winners on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6 a.m. The winners will receive their 52 free food vouchers to be used during the year on anything on the menu. Click here for a menu.

From fresh-made breakfast biscuits to fresh cut lemons in their sweet tea, Scanlon said “the food is not fast food, it’s fresh food fast.”

“We’ve found there are a lot of transplants here from the south who are very excited about being able to get their sweet tea, waffle fries and biscuits,” she said. “We’re really looking forward to getting to know our community.”

The new Brookfield Chick-fil-A restaurant is the first of four Connecticut locations slated to open within the next six months. Other restaurants will open in Danbury in mid-November, in Wallingford and Enfield.

The new restaurant will have free Wi-Fi, indoor seating for 109, additional outdoor patio seating and an interactive play area for kids.
