Monroe to Commemorate Veterans Day on Stepney Green
State Rep. J.P. Sredzinski, Easton First Selectman Adam Dunsby and Monroe First Selectman Steve Vavrek are slated to speak at the ceremony.

The Monroe and Easton American Legion Posts and the Save Our Stepney Task Force will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony “Flags Over Stepney” on November 11, 2015, according to Stepneyct.org.
Flags will fly during the annual Veterans Day memorial ceremony held Wednesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. on the Stepney Green.
The presentation of the wreaths will be made the Canadian Armed Forces, the Monroe American Legion Post 176 and the Monroe Lions Club, according to the Monroe Courier. Veterans and their spouses are invited to the Girl Scouts of Easton’s luncheon in the Notre Dame Church located at 655 Morehouse Road.
Flags will be placed on the Stepney green to honor veterans. Anyone interested in sponsoring a flag can mail a check payable to ”Save Our Stepney Task Force” along with your name or sponsoring organization to: Flags Over Stepney, Save Our Stepney Task Force, P.O.
