Monroe Congregational Church hosts its third MusicFest

MCC brings musicians to Monroe for an afternoon of entertainment.

Music Director Will Duchon, along with the MusicFest committee of the Monroe Congregational Church are once again offering a wonderful afternoon of music to the public. The Monroe MusicFest will be on September 24 at 1-7 pm at the Monroe Congregational Church. This is the third year for the MusicFest and each year it improves. The MusicFest committee has worked to maximize the campus space using three venues so that music listeners can move among the venues, choosing the groups they would like to hear. This year's festival will feature a wide variety of artists, including classical, jazz. folk, steel drum, and more. Additionally, there will be some visual artists at the church selling their work and a Burrito Shack food truck will also be there. "Our community has so many incredibly talented musicians," said Will Duchon, "we really love filling our spaces with these rich sounds." Paulette Obertz, who has been on the MusicFest committee from its inception chimed in, "we're so lucky to be able to present such a fantastic afternoon of entertainment to the community."

The MusicFest is open to the public and costs $15 for one ticket and $30 for a family ticket. For more information, please call the church office: 203-268-9327.
