Monroe Connex Donates Over $700 To Special Olympics CT
Money was raised through Connex's Coins-for-Change program.
February 21 2020
These funds were raised via Connex’s Coins-for-Change program, a charitable initiative that encourages members of the community to convert their spare change to cash via Connex’s coin-cashing machines and then donates 100 percent of the fees collected for these services directly to various charitable organizations across the state. Special Olympics Connecticut supports 12,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities, and their peers without disabilities, and plans to use this money to bolster their exclusive programs.
“We extend our most sincere thanks to the team at Connex Credit Union and all who donated to support our athletes. Because of caring and generous friends like you, we are able to provide year-round, life-changing sports, health and fitness programs designed to inspire acceptance and inclusion for all in our schools and communities,” said Ellyn Gerrmann, Director of Partnerships & Corporate Relations, Special Olympics of Connecticut.
