Monroe, Easton Commuters to be Impacted by Road Work
The State of CT's DOT will conduct a milling and repaving project on Route 59 so drivers should prepare for delays or plan alternate routes.

MONROE, CT — The State of Connecticut's Department of Transportation will performing a milling and resurfacing project on Route 59 that will impact local commuters.
The project is set to begin on Sunday, May 22, 2016 and continue through Saturday, June 4, 2016.
Drivers can expect lane closures on Route 59 from Jefferson Street to Old Oak Road in Easton and on Jefferson Street from Route 59 (Easton Turnpike) to the Salt Storage Building off Jefferson Street. This project affects only the northern section of Route 59 in Fairfield as most of the work is being done in Easton.
