Monroe Festival Turns 60! How 'Bout Them Apples?
Monroe's 60th Annual Apple Festival set for Sept. 6 & 7.

Apple pie, apple turnover, apple cider, applesauce and more will be available at Monroe’s 60th Annual Apple Festival on Sept. 6 and 7, 2014. Other vendors and activities include the following”
- Country Kitchen - By some homemade pies, tarts, cookies, breads, jams, caramel and candy apples
- Children’s Games - Moonwalks, games/prizes, face painting and “Willie” the Clown
- Mums - 200 hardy mum plants, autumn joy and asters
- Snack Bar - Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Egg McBuffas, apple frits, pizza frits, fried Oreos and Twinkies
- Apple Central - Fresh apples, apple cider and apple items for sale
- Apple Crisp -Outside on the green near the Snack Bar, you can purchase homemade apple crisp a la mode!
The event is sponsored by St Peter’s Episcopal Church and takes place at the Historic Monroe Green (Route 111) .
Saturday’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free admission. For further information call (203) 268-4265.
