Firefighters extinguished a blazing pile of wood chips over the weekend.

MONROE, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blazing pile of wood chips over the weekend.

Around 4:00 in the morning on Saturday, crews were dispatched to the upper 900 block of Main Street for a wood chip pile that was on burning. Firefighters worked for almost three hours to put the fire out, according to Stepney Fire Department officials.
