Monroe Girl's Cheerleading Coach Violates Probation
The Brookfield man had been found guilty of exchanging nude photographs with a 15-year-old girl.

MONROE, CT -- When the sentence of former Brookfield cheerleading coach Manuel Batson, 34, found guilty of exchanging nude photographs with a 15-year-old Monroe girl he had been coaching, was suspended, the conditions of his probation were very clear. Nevertheless, he still managed to violate nearly all of them, in spectacular fashion.
Batson was warned to:
- Avoid cheerleading, yet he attended a cheerleading convention;
- Stay away from children’s sporting events, yet he attended a children’s basketball game;
- Stay away from children, yet he interacted with his girlfriend’s teenaged daughters;
- Stay off social media, yet he posted photos of all the above on Facebook.
Back in court on Friday, April 6, Batson pleaded guilty to violating his probation. The Superior Court is scheduled to decide punishment when he is sentenced May 9.
