Monroe Health Department Now Open
The new department opened following the dissolution of the combined Trumbull-Monroe health district.
The new Monroe Health Department is now open, the Monroe Courier reports.
According to the paper, the new department is located in Town Hall and currently consists of Interim Health Director Richard Matheny, Sanitarian Richard Jackson and Administrative Assistant Barbara Krajewski.
Both the towns of Trumbull and Monroe decided in December to withdraw from the combined health district and form their own health districts.
