Monroe House Trashed, Couple Arrested
The couple was was charged with cruelty to animals, criminal mischief and third-degree larceny.

MONROE, CT --- Police arrested a couple who had been evicted from a Monroe home after they allegedly trashed the house and left two pets without food and water.
Police had been called to the home by the homeowner after he had evicted William Totten, 32, and Erika Terdik, 37. They found a dog and cat in poor condition without water or food, and the house filled with debris, feces and profane graffiti. A washing machine and a portable generator were reported missing.
Totten and Terdik were charged with cruelty to animals, criminal mischief and third-degree larceny. They have been released on promises to appear in court but are required to undergo mental health evaluations.
