Monroe K9 Murphy is Sporting a New, Safe Look
K9 Murphy's new vest is valued at up to $2,234, but was given to him free of charge.

MONROE, CT — If you see Monroe Police K9 Murphy walking around town, he might be sporting a flashy new vest.
Murphy was given a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from a non-profit organization called Vested Interest in K9s based in Taunton, MA. The group provides vests to assistance dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the U.S.
Vests were also donated to Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin. Vests weighs an average of 4-5 pounds, and has a value between $1,795 – $2,234.
