Monroe Man, 21, Arrested on Multiple Burglary, Larceny Charges: Police
The suspect is accused of breaking into several vehicles and stealing a bicycle.

A 21-year-old Monroe man was arrested Wednesday on multiple burglary and larceny charges in connection with several vehicle break-ins and the theft of bicycle in June of this year.
Amarez (Nate) Coleman, of Lynn Drive, turned himself in to Monroe police headquarters Wednesday, following an investigation into vehicle break-ins on Fan Hill and Knorr roads from June 27. He was charged with:
- Burglary 3rd Degree of a Motor Vehicle (3 counts)
- Larceny 6th Degree (4 counts)
- Criminal Trespass 3 degree (4 counts)
According to Monroe police, the department received a report in the early morning hours of June 27 from a Fan hill Road resident “who observed an Hispanic male inside her car that was parked in her driveway. When she called out to this male, he fled on foot. Responding officers found that the male had left the bicycle stolen from [a] Knorr Road [home] at this residence.”

Coleman was arrested July 8 for separate, yet similar, incidents which occurred at the Hidden Knoll Condo complex on Cross Hill Road, police said. During an interview on that day, Coleman claimed to have no knowledge of the June 27th incidents.
“Monroe Police Detectives subsequently found that Coleman had pawned items stolen during the June 27th burglaries and later admitted to committing the thefts,” according to police.
