Police observed the man, who had blood on his face and said he was assaulted, driving on the wrong side of the road and pulled him over.

Fairfield Police say a Monroe man was driving down the wrong side of the road, while under the influence of alcohol, and had a loaded Glock42 .380-caliber handgun in his possession early Saturday morning, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports William S. Jones, 29, of Ryegate Terrace, Monroe, also had blood on his shirt and on the car door, which he told police was a result of being punched in the face by a man he didn’t know while he was walking from Ana Liffey’s on the Post Road to Crave Restaurant on Sanford Street.
A patrol officer observed Jones driving on the wrong side of the Post Road around 1:30 a.m. and pulled him over and he failed field sobriety tests, according to the Citizen.
