Monroe Man Charged After Milford Police Stop Vehicle: Police

The accused was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant.

MILFORD, CT — A Monroe man wanted for an ordinance violation in New Haven is accused of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle that was stopped in Milford, police said. On Sept. 24, officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of 433 Old Gate Lane, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Daniel Barrett, 37, of Old Tannery Road in Monroe, who is accused of being in possession of marijuana, a glass smoking bowl and prescription medication which he does not hold a prescription for, police said.

Further investigation showed Barrett to hold an active warrant for his arrest, which he is accused of failing to respond to an ordinance violation he received on March 13, 2016 in New Haven by the appropriate date, police said.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than half ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to respond.
