Monroe Man Charged In Shelton Home Invasion
The man kicked in a door and assaulted a woman in front of her 2-year-old son, police said.
SHELTON, CT — A Monroe man was arrested after he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulted her in front of her 2-year-old son, according to police.
Scott Ralston, 34, kicked in a door at his ex girlfriend's around 3 a.m. Monday.
"Once inside Ralston grabbed the ex-girlfriend by the hair and dragged her into the kitchen where he hit and kicked her," said Detective Richard Bango, police spokesman.

The victim tried to call 911, but Ralston threw her phone across the room, Bango said. He also stole prescription medication and fled the residence.
Ralston was taken into custody at Griffin Hospital.

He is charged with home invasion, third-degree assault, interfering with an emergency call, risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
