Monroe Math Students Rank High in National Contest, with One Perfect Score
The Noetic-Learning Math Contest encourages young students' interest in math, inspires them to excel in it, and to develop their problem solving skills.

Many Monroe students in grades two through five excelled in the Noetic-Learning Math Contest and one, Justin Guinta, had a perfect score of 100, tying four other second graders for the highest grade in the entire country.
This is a contest that is offered to schools across the United States. The goal of the competition is to encourage young students' interest in math, to inspire them to excel in math, and to develop their problem solving skills.
Each test is comprised of 20 problem solving questions. Each question is worth 5 points. In this year’s Spring Contest 6,298 students participated. Students who score in the top 10% of the country receive a National Honor Role certificate and a medal.

Students who score in the top 50% of the country receive an Honorable Mention
Certificate. Students who score the highest for their team (grade level by school)
