Monroe Memorial Day Parade Quick Facts
Here is what you need to know about the parade.

MONROE, CT -- The town's Memorial Day Parade will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Honoring Our Heroes: Past and Present."
The line of march will begin at Lower Elm Street and Route 111 and will proceed to the New War Memorial located on the Town Hall Green where the memorial ceremony will be conducted.
The town is advising all marchers to travel one of the following routed in order to get to the line-up point on Lower Elm Street heading towards Monroe Turnpike/Route 111:

- Purdy Hill Road (East, Post Office Side) turn left onto Lower Elm Street toward Monroe Turnpike
- Moose Hill Road (South) turn right onto Lower Elm Street toward Monroe Turnpike
- Cross Hill Road (East) turn right onto Moose Hill Road and then right onto Lower Elm Street toward Monroe Turnpike
Marchers will assemble at their assigned number(s) on the right-hand side of Lower Elm Street, and keep the left side of Lower Elm Street open for vehicles/floats to travel in order to find their assigned spots. Please look for a parade committee member if you have not received your assigned number ahead of time or if you need assistance.
There is no rain date for the parade. In case of rain, the memorial ceremony will be still be held on Sunday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Monroe Town Hall Council Chambers.
