Monroe Men Plead Not Guilty to Rape Accusations

The men are accused of tying a 16-year-old to a bed and repeatedly assaulting her.

MONROE, CT -- Two local men pleaded not guilty Tuesday of repeatedly raping a 16-year-old girl, the Post has reported.

Brian Werle, 20, of Turkey Roost Road and Wyatt Palin, 19, of Grist Mill Road were accused of tying the girl to a bed and repeatedly raping and assaulting in November 2017. Police said the men convinced the girldrink wine and smoke marijuana with them at Werle’s home, before tying her to Werle's parents' bed.

Werle and Palin pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint, conspiracy to commit first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault before Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin. The men have requested jury trials. Both are free on $50,000 bonds.
