Monroe Fire Departments Respond to Motor Vehicle Accident
The patient was transported to a local hospital and Monroe police are investigating the cause.

From the Monroe Fire Department:
Just before 2:00 am on Tuesday, police and EMS, along with firefighters from the Monroe and Stevenson fire departments responded to an accident in which a car struck a utility pole on Route 110 near Old Tannery Road. Only one car was involved and firefighters had to extricate the driver, who remained conscious but appeared to have serious injuries.
Firefighters arrived quickly given they were leaving another fire call nearby when the accident occurred, and they freed the driver from the car within approximately five minutes of arrival. Firefighters also addressed a gasoline spill resulting from the accident.
