Monroe Police Torch Run Friday: Expect Traffic Delays

MONROE, CT — The police are warning residents to expect traffic delays on Friday as the annual Connecticut Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Connecticut races through town.

Monroe law enforcement will kick off their leg of the run at 11:00 a.m., according to the SOCT schedule. Runners will proceed along Fan Hill Road and onto CT-111, and stay on that roadway before handing off the torch to their Trumbull colleagues on Route 156 at Smith Neck Road around 11:31 a.m.
