Monroe Puts Tax Collection Online
While convenient, online payment is not without a fee.

MONROE, CT -- Taxpayers will now be able to pay their real estate, motor vehicle excise and property tax bills online.
Taxpayers are not obligated to use the new system. Residents may still pay by check at the Monroe branches of Newtown Savings Bank, the Union Savings Bank or by dropping by the tax collector’s office at Town Hall.
Online payment is not without a fee. Payments by credit or debit card are subject to a convenience fee of approximately 3 percent, and payments by bank account cost 95 cents.
