Monroe Resident Ruth Anna McKane, 83, Passed Away

MONROE, CT — Ruth Anna McKane, age 83, born to Anna and John Lashinsky in Windber, PA on October 11th, 1932, passed away on April 29th, 2016 in Connecticut Hospice. She was a resident of Monroe for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, William F. Lashinsky and John T. Lashinsky. Survivors include her devoted children, a daughter Margaret (Peggy) Samulowitz and her husband Chris of Celebration, FL, a son Frank T. McKane and his wife Alice of Monroe, CT, five grandchildren Rebecca Dawson of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Samulowitz of Celebration, FL, Shannon Morin of Harrisville, RI, Paula McKane and Thomas McKane of Monroe, CT, a great grandchild, Alexander Samulowitz, a sister MaryAnn Salvaggio of Shelton, CT, and a sister-in-law Joan Lashinsky of Allen, TX as well as a niece and two nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull on Wednesday, May 4th at 10am and followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
