Monroe Summer Concert Series Starts June 17 with Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Monroe Parks & Recreation presents the 28th Annual Summer Concert series with 'Tusk,' a Fleetwood Mac tribute band.

MONROE, CT — Monroe's 28th Annual Summer Concert Series kicks off on June 17 with top notch entertainment at Wolfe Park on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. Bring your blanket, chairs and your favorite food and beverage and enjoy an evening outdoors under the stars with friends and family.

A 2016 Wolfe Park vehicle parking sticker needed to park in main parking lot which can be obtained at the Parks & Recreation office. Those without stickers need to park in the non sticker/overflow lot.

TUSK
We heard you!! Back by popular demand to kick off the concert season is the ultimate Fleetwood Mac tribute band. Tusk returns to the Wolfe Park stage to impress you with their incredible attention to detail and musical talent.

Head Over Heals
Incredible local talent on display. This Waterbury area nine0piece show band with a three-piece funky horn section and an unbeatable rhythm section plays the music that gets you up, dancing and having a good time! They cover all genres of music and perform each with their own incomparable flavor. Come out and P-A-R-T-Y!!

The Sounds of Frank
Come out and celebrate the 100th birthday of the "Chairman of the Board"...Francis Albert Sinatra. Take a walk down memory lane and listen to all your favorite Sinatra classics. You'll enjoy all of the high quality, enthusiastic renditions performed by an energetic six-piece band. Ol' Blue Eyes may be gone but never forgotten.

Dr. Ya-Ya's Gumbo Party/Memphis Soul Spectacular/Ball in the House
Mardi Gras comes to Monroe and the Good Doctor will be in the house. Dr. Ya-Ya struts into town shoutin' and paradin' with the second line beat along with a stompin' tribute to the southern soul sound that rocked the planet in the 60's.

Ball in the House will entertain as the opening act for the evenings entertainment. This Boston-based a-cappella group will bring their unique sound of R&B, Pop and Soul, both classic and contemporary to the Wolfe Park stage. This is music that will move you and is a perfect addition to the summer music series. You will not believe the sound this a-cappella group creates!!

Eaglemania
The greatest live tribute to The Eagles. Performing the hits of the Eagles as well as Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh's solo albums. Their attention to detail and ability to reproduce the Eagle's sound will leave you with an experience that will not be forgotten. Musicians committed to giving the audience a perfect show every time they take the stage.
