Monroe Superintendent Asks For Budget Increase
The superintendent has asked for a 5.7 percent budget increase.
MONROE, CT — Schools Superintendent Dr. Jack Zamary has requested a 5.7 percent budget increase, citing rising healthcare, salary and other costs.
First Selectman Ken Kellogg told the Monroe Sun he expects the request to be pared down by the Board of Education before it goes before voters as a referendum.
Zamary's budget proposal calls for a $3.25 million increase, which would bring the total budget to $60.5 million.
