Monroe Targets Computers, Radio Station for Funding

Eight hundred Chromebooks and 120 Lenovo laptops are set to be replaced.

MONROE, CT -- The schools in town will be getting a technology refresh.

The Board of Finance has approved approximately $280,000 for 920 Board of Education computers. A significant piece of that will go towards replacing 800 Chromebooks and 120 Lenovo laptops, a move unanimously approved by the Town Council at their May 29 meeting.

The Town Council also approved next year's budget for town-owned radio station WMNR. The station is supported by public-broadcasting grants, listener donations, and town revenues.
