Monroe Traffic Alert: Milling on Rt. 25

The Connecticut DOT announced that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on Rt. 25 in Monroe.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on Route 25 in Trumbull and Monroe. The work will span a 4-mile distance and will continue through Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Motorists should expect lane closures on Route 25 from .12 miles south of the Monroe town line all the way to the Newtown town line. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic and signs will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work is scheduled from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to slow down and maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
