[UPDATED] Monroe Traffic Alert: Sept. 15-26

The Town of Monroe Public Works Department reports there could possibly be delays in the area due to construction.

They will be working in the following areas over the next two weeks:

• Moose Hill
• Cross Hill Road
• Shelton Town Line Road

Only emergency vehicles, school buses and local vehicles will be permitted to pass in the above mentioned roads.

There will be minimal impact in the areas of Garder Road, Pepper Street and Applegate Lane for guide rail Installation.

In the following areas, they will be doing manhole replacement and no vehicles will be permitted to pass:

• Turkey Roost Road
• River Road
• Cahill Road

Residents only will be allowed within the work zone of these roads. A detour will be marked and in place

The Town of Monroe Public Works Department reminds motorists to please slow down for work zones.

[UPDATE] Sept. 17, 2:57 p.m. From the Town of Monroe:

CTDOT will be milling and paving Route 25 from Trumbull to the Newtown Line

Tentative Schedule;

Milling : 09/28/2014 through 10/02/2014
Paving: 10/12/2014 though 10/22/2014

Hours of operation: 8:00 PM – 05:00 AM

This paving will NOT include the intersection areas paved over the past 2 years
