Monroe Volunteer FD Names Firefighter of the Year

MONROE, CT -- The Volunteer Fire Department has honored firefighter Ty Stewart with their Ryan Gardner Firefighter of the Year Award.

In a statement, the MVFD cited Stewart as one of their top 10 responders who covers two designated home responder nights and a duty crew night each week. In the past year he was trained in both engine and tanker operation.
